Myself after Clint Eastwood

I'm always a sucker for cowboy art (check out my gallery if you don't believe me). This is a nice shot. I love the weight of the foreground inks and the judicious shading on the hands and fabric folds. I'm especially impressed by your restraint on the background -- just light, sketchy lines to help convey a sense of scene without being intrusive. Very nice work -- it reminds me of the sort of thing I would find in classic pulp magazines from the 1940s/50s. Hmmm. The more I look at it, the more I like expression. If he busted into the saloon where I was dealing from the bottom of the deck, my hands would go up veerrrrrry slowly.
